Cameron John is here!!!!

So last Friday (4/22) I headed off to the hospital for the weekly non stress test to make sure all was ok.  Little did I know that I wouldn't be coming home for a few days after that...
The doctor had decided it was time to induce me and have the little guy.  So Bryan cancelled his racing trip to Chico and we spent the evening in the hospital.  Around 1 something the doctor came in and said it was time for us to do a c-section and the next thing I know Cameron John Wheeler was born 4/23/11 at 2:25 am.  He was 5 lbs 13.5 oz and 20 inches long.  We are all home now and adjusting well.  Today (Friday 4/29) we got the puppies back from my mom's so now the house is complete!!!!

Lindsay and Jason stopped by last night with their little guy AJ (2 months old) and we got to see how the pups reacted to a baby. Daisy Mae was less than thrilled however Mr Duke was very interested and wanted to make sure the baby didn't go anywhere.  WE tried to get some good pictures but he wasn't very cooperative! But its good to know he likes babies!! And well Daisy acted just like I imagined... hopefully she will get used to our bundle.

Getting Closer!

Well here we are, a month away from the due date and we are just waiting patiently.  I am down to weekly appointments which is weird as it seems like just yesterday it was just once a month.  I asked Bryan to help me hang stuff on the wall so the room would be ready for the baby and his response was sure, but that is the least of your worries with that room... which well he was right.  There were boxes still everywhere and all sorts of stuff just strewn about so I spent Sunday watching the Giants game and cleaning up the room.  Below is pictures of the completed task! Now I think we are a little closer to where we need to be!!!

The closet was full of boxes -diaper genie, high chair, diapers, bouncer and floor gym... now it is filled of buckets... buckets of socks and toys!!

we won't say what all was in the crib but now it is filled with the monkeys and Sully only because I'm out of room on top of the curio cabinet

and I got suckered into getting a bassinet... so there it is, in front of the bed. It won't fit on the side of the bed but it has wheels so it can go where ever I need it to!!!

April Update

So I went to have a non stress test to see how the baby is doing with his movement and my blood pressure.  All was fantastic, except the little guy wanted to sleep and not move so I was stuck there for 3 hours until he finally woke up, thanks to some apple juice.  We got to do another ultrasound which seemed more difficult to see a lot of things however, they were able to confirm AGAIN that he is in fact a HE!!! He also will have some hair... not sure where he got that from since I didn't have hair until I was one and well, daddy lost all his hair!! ;-) but regardless, all looks good.  He is weighing 4lbs 11oz, give or take 11 oz... and the ultrasound lady said the due date is 5-19-11 give or take 17 days... The DR on the other hand said the guy will probably come closer to the end of April, which I tend to believe what he has to say more so than the ultrasound people.
Those are the updates here, now we just wait patiently for the guy to arrive!!

Baby Shower!

Well the baby shower was quite a success!!! Mom did a fantastic job planning it all and Jessie Lee did a bang up job helping her set it up and making sure it was perfect, which it was.  There were 197 pictures on my camera and who knows how many on moms... it was really hard to pick out what pictures to share... so there may be a few too many!!!  Enjoy

Holy SNOW batman!!

Well it looks likes winter keeps getting worse each year. We got another 20" of snow last week and lost power... there is so much snow the poor pups can run around wild like normal... I'm ready for Spring!!!

Relaxing evening

I just picked the pups up from being at Grandma Peggy's for a day. It is another quiet evening here at the Wheeler Household.  The pups are sacked out!! It is quite nice.
We've gotten a little more progress done on the nursery - my mom got us a rug to go under the glider and ottoman so it wouldn't scratch the floors. It is quite handy that it is the same colors as Winnie The Pooh...

Superbowl Sunday!!

Well I was rather disappointed with the commercials this year for the Super Bowl. The Chevy commercial where they guy was thinking the Chevy was Lassie made Duke bark up a storm and he didn't calm down for about 10 minutes. Glad they only played it once.
Bryan was at the fire station so we took him some snacks so he could have some fun while hanging out at the station.
Not much other news on the baby front other than the fact that my belly is getting bigger each day. I will try to get a new picture up tonight or tomorrow.  The next appointment is on the 16th but I don't think there is anything really happening for that appointment but I could be wrong...

Great weather days!

Well we've been rather lucky the past few weekends to have nice weather so the pups and I can go walking and get some excercise in! Pretty soon we will have to break out the stroller so they get used to walking along side a new contraption!
The little baby is moving around quite a bit now! It is very exciting. There's only been one time that I have actually SEEN the kicks but I definitely feel them! Every now and then it still scares me!
Other than that we are just taking it day by day. Luckily the rash hasn't come back except where I wear my wedding ring, the only jewelery I'm wearing these days so there are some days I don't wear it but I will take it there instead of where it was before!!
Next doctor's visit is the 16th and then before we know the little tyke will be here!

Well we are moving right along.  Now I am a couple days over 24 weeks and at the last doctor's appointment the doctor said everything looks good so that was reassuring!!
